Retired Senior Volunteer Program Fair

South Hall–Booth 3012

Research shows that volunteering as little as 96 hours a year leads to improved mental, emotional and physical health for seniors. Volunteers consistently report decreased loneliness and social isolation; reduced stress and higher life satisfaction. With more than 10,000 Americans turning age 65 each day, the number of potential volunteers is expected to double.

Are you interested in volunteering or are you a current volunteer who would like to know what new opportunities are available with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)? Then be sure to stop by the RSVP booth at the 2017 Power of Age Expo to speak with an RSVP staff member about your next volunteer opportunity.

Available at the RSVP booth will be both new site location and site opportunity information, along with friendly staff willing to assist you with your volunteering needs! An RSVP representative will be available on October 4 and 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., each day.  Some exhibitors at the Volunteer Fair include AARP Tax Aide, Alzheimer’s Association, American Red Cross, Churches for Streets of Hope, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Baltimore County, Gilchrist Hospice Care, Glenn L Martin Aviation Museum, Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, Maryland Hunger Solutions and Pets on Wheels.

For information about RSVP, call 410-887-3101.
